Sofia del Rivero is a Miami based visual artist whose vibrant large scale portraits weave embroidery with paint to capture women’s strength and resilience. She founded Art Box an art school for children, informing her community centered practice. Her journey was shaped by the loss of her mother and the birth of her daughter, inspiring her to explore womanhood and inner strength. She layers paint and textiles to build portrait scale compositions that examine identity, tradition and inherited patterns. Her work has appeared at Miami Art Week, Coconut Grove Arts Festival and Superfine! She is developing a new series weaving maternal lineage into her portraits for upcoming Miami exhibitions. Collectors appreciate her work for its authentic expression of female empowerment and personal transformation.
