Inspired by the messages of the Year of the Snake, Warding is a statement of self-devotion. The intertwining, the relaxed hand, and the basil plant—historically used for warding and purification—reinterpret the serpent as an ally rather than an omen, emphasizing intimacy with personal power. The piece celebrates acts of protection-- not out of fear, but out of self-devotion.
