Austin Lan is an emerging Miami-based artist whose paintings layer realism with memory, perception, and fantasy. Her work stands out for its vivid, dreamlike imagery and its approach to the figure as a modern portrait shaped by complexity rather than idealization.
Lan studied Fine Art at Yale University, where she built a foundation in technique, experimentation, and discourse, earning early recognition through awards and exhibitions. After several years working as a Director in design and technology, she returned fully to her studio practice.
Drawing on her Taiwanese heritage and spirituality, she explores the space between who we are and who we wish to be, both individually and collectively. Her recent paintings celebrate color, empowerment, and the female form, offering collectors work that holds softness, strength, quiet, and rage at once.
