Artist Description of Work:
This Gyotaku print features a mutton snapper gliding over a thriving coral reef. The reef itself was illustrated by Alex’s wife, Gianna, and reflects the actual corals present at the site of the fish’s harvest. Created to celebrate the reefs just off Miami Beach, this piece aims to raise awareness of their beauty—and the importance of protecting them.
