Artist Description of Work:
Love Cuts is a visceral exploration of heartbreak, betrayal, and the lasting emotional wounds of love. Dominated by purples, blacks, whites, and pinks, the composition incorporates expressive marks carved directly into the paint using the back of a brush. These deliberate incisions become physical manifestations of emotional injury, transforming the painted surface into a record of pain and vulnerability. Created during a period of profound personal upheaval, the work considers the scars left by intimate relationships and the complicated process of healing. Framed
