Artist Description of Work:
Mansion explores the paradox of living in opulence while experiencing profound emotional isolation. Created during a pivotal period in the artist’s life, the work evokes the loneliness of being a princess confined within a castle, surrounded by beauty yet longing for freedom and connection. As the first painting Clancy created after years away from her artistic practice, Mansion represents a personal and creative awakening. It became the catalyst for the body of work that followed, marking the beginning of an ongoing exploration of identity, transformation, and the complexities of human experience.
