Artist Description of Work:
After experiencing the pain of losing a loved one, Idyll represents the moment of acceptance. I created this piece after visiting the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York during. As the sun was setting, it cast long shadows across the walls and an installation, and in that quiet light, I felt a deep calm wash over me. It was the feeling of finally emerging from pain, finding stillness again.
