Artist Description of Work:
This piece was inspired by a plein air painting session on Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove, during the height of August heat. The street was full of life with dogs passing by, people moving through, and an energy that felt vibrant. I was painting in front of ARREA gallery, in a spot where there’s now a USPS close by, and I remember thinking how much the area was evolving. The work captures that sense of liveliness and growth. A reflection of a neighborhood on the rise, full of character and potential.
