Artist Description of Work:
This conceptual piece strives to confront the feminine passage into uncharted territory that women experience throughout different seasons and stages of life. The composition is both moving away from and toward something—symbolizing a journey of change that is as much about the internal landscape as the external one. The title, OFF SHE GOES TO FIND HER WAY, illustrates both a physical and emotional departure as "she" transitions from the familiar to the unknown. The non-linear composition represents the nature of how different life phases encompass personal growth and transformation. Color gradients suggest the delicate balance between the known and the unfamiliar as we transition from one phase to the next. . This piece speaks to the excitement and the tension between knowing and unknowing, arrival and departure, clarity and confusion. OFF SHE GOES TO FIND HER WAY is a narrative that speaks to the nature of ever-evolving seasons of a woman's life and her confidence in the process of "finding her way".
