Artist Description of Work:
Anon conjures a shared feeling among the children of immigrants - a longing for belonging, checking off every item on the list that paves the way to success for yourself and for your parents and in tandem the feeling that what wove you into you who are is also unraveling. You are not quite Latin enough because you were born in the United States. The irony, however, is that you hardly feel American enough because the song of your childhood had a different rhythm. You are neither here, nor there. You neither this, nor that. -Anon
