Gustavo Oviedo is a visual artist whose abstract paintings and sculptures are shaped by his deep connection to the ocean and coral reefs. Originally from France and raised in Colombia and Venezuela, he is now based in Miami, considering the reef his primary studio. Diving among coral and observing marine life interacting with debris inspires his abstract narratives of coexistence, evolution, and form. He works with repeated organic shapes that mirror cellular growth and coral colonies, creating compositions that feel like a language while staying grounded in nature.
