Pedro Sena is a Miami based Cuban artist whose drawings and paintings explore cultural identity, adaptation, and personal transformation. Born in Cuba in 1988 he relocated to Miami in 2014 and recently completed an MFA at Florida International University. His experiences of cultural transition inspired a practice informed by surrealism, expressionism, realism, and ancient symbols. He layers symbolic imagery in drawing and painting to express confusion, chaos, adaptation, and the creative reinterpretation of cultural realities. He won first place in Miami Dade College’s Quest for Peace contest in 2017 and showed work at Art Basel Miami. He is developing a new series for upcoming Miami exhibitions. Collectors value his work for its introspective exploration of identity, culture, and personal transformation.
