Collection: Pablo Matute

Pablo Matute
Pablo Matute is a visual artist transforming construction materials into textured narratives of memory, labor and cultural identity. Born in 1999, he earned a BA from Florida International University in 2023 and is based in South Florida. His practice draws on childhood experiences on construction sites where he worked alongside his parents. He reclaims sheetrock, wood and charcoal to build layered surfaces reflecting fragmentation, resilience and the immigrant experience. He has shown his work at Gallery 217 at Nova Southeastern University, the Doral Contemporary Art Museum and Laundromat Art Space. He continues to develop new projects to engage working-class communities through exhibitions. Collectors value his art for its honest materiality and its powerful exploration of identity and labor.
