Sol Romero is a visual artist and art historian whose practice is shaped by more than 20 years of experience across Lima and Miami. Her work is informed by both studio practice and sustained engagement with art history, curatorship, and critical discourse.
She holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She also pursued further studies at the Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm and the Universidade Clásica de Lisboa.
Romero has worked in curatorship, editing, design, and teaching. Her achievements include the 2011 retrospective on Alejandro González Trujillo “Apu-Rimak” at the Centro Cultural Peruano Británico and her 2016 solo exhibition, Lago de Memoria, at Fundación Euroidiomas. She currently works from her studio while remaining committed to the dissemination of Latin American art and critical thought.
