Collection: Mark Osterman

Mark Osterman is a Miami based artist whose work in drawing, sculpture, installation, digital collage and painting examines how mass media shapes perception. He holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, an MA from New York University and an EdD from Florida International University. His interest in media literacy and technology led him to explore the interplay of reality and representation. He works with paint and digital collage to create stories that invite viewers to question daily imagery. He held residencies at Oolite Arts and the Atlantic Center for the Arts and received a fellowship from the Anolic Foundation. He is developing a new installation series and will show work in Miami later this year. Collectors value his art for its visual complexity and its invitation to reflect on a media saturated world.
