Eduardo R. Lacayo is a painter whose work serves as a visual diary shaped by memory, nature, and human experience. Born in Managua in 1969 and raised in Nicaragua, Mexico, and Miami, his multicultural background forms a central part of his voice. He studied Architecture at Miami Dade College and went on to earn a BFA and an M.S. in Art Education from Florida International University, followed by an Ed.S. from NOVA Southeastern University.
Eduardo is an art educator at MAST Academy and President of the Dade Art Educators Association, where he supports public art projects and community engagement.
His paintings use warm colors, surreal elements, and layered textures to explore transformation, belonging, and place, offering viewers a space for reflection and connection.
