Coffee Conversations with Creators: Featuring Lila Lopez and Printmaking Workshop

Saturday, October 11th, A relaxed conversation with Lila Lopez, a Miami-based artist and graphic designer, artists-in-residence at CollaborAtive, offering insights into her practice, process, career evolution, and the inspirations that shape her work.

The printmaking workshop is designed as a relaxing and creative activity for attendees, offering them a hands-on cultural experience. The session will guide participants through the basics of carving and inking their own creativity ideas prints using safe, beginner-friendly materials. The final result is a handmade print they can take home as a personal souvenir.

The worshop begins at 12:30 pm. We open at 10:00 am with complimentary espresso and lattes, so you are welcome to come early, browse the collection, and settle in.


Lila Lopez is a Miami-based artist originally from Nicaragua, whose work powerfully addresses themes of isolation, repression, survival, and women's empowerment. Living in Miami since 2001, Lila continuously experiments and pushes the boundaries of visual art, earning recognition for her innovative techniques. Her artistic journey is deeply intertwined with personal experiences, creating a genuine authenticity in her exploration of marginalization and control. Through various media, Lila challenges traditional narratives around gender and identity, striving to inspire solidarity and collective strength among women.
